The T-800, otherwise known as the Terminator, is the titular villain of the 1984 sci-fi film of the same name. He is portrayed by actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and is one of Arnold's most notable roles. In the film, he is a tough, emotionless, and remorseless cybernetic assassin sent back in time to kill a young woman named Sarah Connor by Skynet, in order to prevent the existence of her son John Connor, who would save the world from the murderous machines. The Terminator has superhuman strength and durability, as well as enhanced intellect and weapon knowledge. He can also mimic others by impersonating their voices.
Personality[]
“ | Listen, and understand! That Terminator is out there. It be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and it absolutely will not stop! EVER! Until you are dead! | „ |

Emotionless, strong, and tough, the T-800 would stop at nothing to destroy Sarah Connor in order to prevent the existence of John Connor. The Terminator does not say much, but he can learn things human beings say, as he learned how to swear from three punks he met shortly after his arrival.
Trivia[]
- Lance Henriksen (who in the film played detective Hal Vukovich) and O.J. Simpson were originally considered for the role. James Cameron rejected the idea of O.J. Simpson as the Terminator because he thought he wouldn't be believable as a killer.
- Controversially, the Terminator bears similarities to slasher film villains such as Michael Myers from ''Halloween'' and Jason Voorhees from ''Friday the 13th''. Like the two masked killers, the Terminator is emotionless, nearly unstoppable by human means, has exceptional superhuman strength and durability, and will stop at nothing to kill his victims.
