He was an extremely talented Bounty Hunter and the creator of the Republic Clone Army, as every clone were cloned from him. He serves as the villainous protagonist of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter and the secondary antagonist of Star Wars: Episode II- Attack of the Clones.

He agreed to clone the Clone Army, but in exchange for receiving one to take in as his own. As a result, he adopted Boba Fett under his wing, who grew to be skilled and vicious in battle like him. He also worked on many assignments for Count Dooku and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and was the partner of Zam Wessel, until he was forced to kill her before she could reveal her and Jango's masters to Jedi Masters Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Kenobi was sent to Kamino to investigate and eventually discovered and battled Jango. After duelling Kenobi and seemingly sending him to his death, Jango and Boba fled in their ship to join Dooku and the Separatists, but Kenobi manged to stay alive and secretly followed them to Geonosis, but discovered. Jango and the droids captured Kenobi and his accomplices, Anakin and Padme Amidala. Later, when the Clone Army and the Jedi Order fought the Separatists in a full-scale battle, Jango protected Dooku and flew down to the battlefield, but was trampled by a beast, damaging his jetpack. Jedi Master Mace Windu charged to Jango, who, unable to escape with his broken jetpack, was decapitated by him. This sent Boba into grief, who would later commit grievous crimes himself and become a bounty hunter to avenge his father. Jango was also pivotal for the rise of Darth Sidious and the Galactic Empire by establishing the Clone Army.
